What is a Fiberglass
Embedment?
An Embedment graphic is printed using screen printing or direct digital output. All inks used in the printing process are UV resistant and have a large color gamut for the utmost in clarity and brilliance. Once the graphics are printed, the graphic carrier sheet is then laid between layers of fiberglass mat and saturated with resin to produce a one-piece, fiberglass-reinforced panel with embedded, subsurface graphics.
Why Fiberglass Embedments?
The endurance of Fiberglass Embedments make them a cost-effective solution to
meet a variety of signage needs. These panels are practically vandal
proof, resist adverse weather, including harsh UV rays, are impervious to
moisture and are rust-resistant. Our panels can withstand burns from
cigarettes, and scratches usually do not affect legibility and can be buffed and
repaired if necessary. Graffiti can be removed using solvents, without
ghosting or hazing the panel's finish.
Screen Printing or Direct Digital Output
Crystal Graphics prints using screen printing and direct
digital output, depending on the application. Screen printing is used when
print quantities are high or when the longest outdoor life is needed.
Direct digital output is used on smaller quantity runs. Recent advances in
technology in digital printing, specifically outdoor weatherability, now make it
the leading seller in Fiberglass Embedments for interpretive signs.
We produce the graphics using your computer files and print using direct digital output. Proofs are provided for your approval. Cost is not affected by the use of photographic images or the number of colors used in your design.
Crystal Graphics maintains a staff of experienced professionals who can provide file set-up assistance. Although we do not do historical research or illustration work, we can provide layout services if text and artwork are provided.

Our Fiberglass Embedments can be mounted in a variety of frames, the most
popular being the "Hopewell"-style, low-profile frame. Other
frame choices include wall mounting, post and panel bases and triangular units.
